JERRY GHIONIS



Jerry Ghionis is considered among the top 5 wedding photographers in the world. His theatrical and iconic images have redefined modern wedding photography. Eager to spread his wings, Jerry started his own business in 1997 and became the backbone of one of Australia’s largest and most respected studios.

Jerry then launched his new boutique studio in 2009 that bears his name in the prestigious Docklands area of Melbourne, Australia. He travels frequently on international photography assignments and speaking engagements. Jerry has won numerous competitions and awards all over the world. He was the first Australian named in the first ever list of Top Ten Wedding Photographers in the World by American Photo magazine.

Jerry is also proud to have won the WPPI (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International) Wedding Album of the Year for a record seven times among his long list of accolades and WPPI included Jerry in their Top Five Wedding Photographers in the World.  Jerry was also named as the Australian Wedding Photographer of the Year by the AIPP. He also recently won first place awards in the traditional, contemporary and photojournalism categories by the SWPP.  He was then named by the SWPP as Wedding Photojournalist of the Year, Fashion Photographer of the Year and the Overall Photographer of the Year – the top award of the entire competition.
